Patricia Grogan, the founder of The Cut, has a long history in both tailoring and fashion. After leaving school she enrolled in a tailoring degree overseen by a highly experienced savile row tailor who found love in Belfast and decided to stay. She spent 3 years under his watchful eye, where she learnt and honed her craft covering every aspect of tailoring from pattern development to garment construction.

After her wonderful experience with Mr Raife and his colleagues she decided to complete her education by undertaking a degree in fashion design at the university of Ulster in Belfast. During her time there she won a number of awards and a placement in London which further increased her knowledge of the discipline she so loved.

After graduating she set up her own business providing a successful tailoring service to local actors, screen writers, politicians, award-winning hairdressers, business persons and celebrities (such as Rihanna!). Drawing from her many years of experience she realised there was a gap in the local market ,for a personal appointment only made to measure service providing a high level of expertise in tailoring with a keen eye for fashion and style.

A little part of savile row arrived in a beautiful Georgian building in number 7 Chichester Street and The Cut was born!
